Paducah downtown historic hotel stay, reserved from Florissant
from $2802 weeknights, room for twofrom $140 per personA Paducah downtown historic hotel stay puts two people in a mid-1800s brick hotel of fourteen rooms, in the old downtown that sits where two rivers meet. Once you approve the quote, the hotel reserves two weeknights in your name, you pay it at its desk, and the written quote is free. Paducah counted 27,137 people in 2020, about half of Florissant's 52,533, yet on our drawing both towns stop at the same roof, the one for tens of thousands.
Two rivers and painted murals in Paducah
Downtown Paducah sits at the foot of the spot where the Tennessee River runs into the Ohio. The water is wide here, and from the riverfront you look across to a wooded far shore. Along the riverfront runs the floodwall, painted with a long series of murals that tell the town's history panel by panel.
A few streets back, brick commercial blocks from the 1800s line the old downtown near the river. Close by, LowerTown began as a 19th-century residential neighborhood and has grown into an arts quarter, with studios and galleries in its old houses.
For a day outdoors, Land Between the Lakes, a large wooded peninsula, lies about 25 miles east of town.

Fourteen brick rooms in downtown Paducah
The hotel is a brick building from the mid-1800s on a downtown street, with fourteen rooms and its own front desk. Check-in is at 3:00 PM and checkout at 11:00 AM, which leaves a morning for the riverfront before you load the car. Rooms come with a coffee maker. The hotel's own pages say nothing about breakfast, so we count it outside the figure, and the quote confirms what your dates include.
Parking is free, except on nights when the neighboring performing-arts center has an event; the quote confirms the parking plan for your dates. You pay the hotel directly at the desk. The hotel pays our office a commission for the reservation, and that is how we are paid.
Two Paducah nights at the downtown rate
from $280
a room shared by two over 2 weeknights, so from $140 per person
The $139 nightly rate came from a public travel search page we checked on November 4, 2026. It showed the hotel's least expensive room, a king, for a Wednesday night in mid-November for two guests. The hotel's own room page lists starting rates close to that, with no dates attached. Two nights at $139, rounded up to the next ten dollars, gives from $280 for two people, which is $140 each. We found no nightly resort or amenity charge to add. Search pages like that one often fold an estimate of taxes into the nightly number, so this figure leans high; your quote separates the room rate from the taxes the desk will charge.
Weekend nights run higher than weeknights here, and the figure covers weeknights only. The desk adds the taxes at checkout: Kentucky's 6% sales tax, the 1% state transient room tax, McCracken County's 6% room tax and Paducah's city room tax, listed at 4%, about 17% together. The quote confirms the current city rate for your dates.

Riverfront months and the spring show week
April through October suits Paducah: the riverfront is pleasant for walking, LowerTown's streets are easy to wander, and the lake country to the east is green. One week needs care. In late April the town's big spring craft show fills every room and rates jump well above the figure here, so we steer weeknight stays away from it unless that show is the reason for the trip.
January and February are quiet. Rooms are easy to get, but the river wind is cold along the floodwall murals, and an outdoor day at the lakes is harder to plan.
Three and a half hours southeast
From Florissant the drive is 188 miles, about 3 h 33 min without traffic or stops. Interstates carry you most of the way, and the last stretch crosses the Ohio River into Kentucky shortly before downtown Paducah. Plan on one stop for fuel and lunch, which adds a little to the clock.
